finally, a brand new piece to add to my growing gallery here, just completed today.

i had in mind a woodland elf and friends on a magical romp through the hills in early summer spreading flower petals (that grow flowers instantly upon touching earth) to those places that need them

. done in painter 8 and i have no idea how much time this has taken.

yea I have to agree with the others .. the picture is great but her face is just a bit off. She looks as if someone stabbed her in the chest or something

I really like this, and the autumnal look of the piece. Only suggestion I have is pushing her right cheekbone away from her nose and possibly having her eyes slightly more open.

Good colours and lighting, especially the use of shade to damp down the mid-ground.

Her pose looks familiar. But the painting is wonderful. There's something about the deer that makes them look a bit cartoonish. But I'm not sure what it is. Maybe a little more texture to their fur.

I gotta visit your gallery more often. I love you style.

emarts, i think you are right about those deer, i painted them from memory and i might have gotten caught up in achieving a convincing form , and stopped short of creating an authentic furry texture. yeah, that pose is kind of a standard 'joi' fling, but i got a happy feeling from it and hope it evokes such
